First day of the YES project!! Waiting for the 20th edition of the BYF

The Balkan Youth Festival is proud to inform you that yesterday 15th of August the first day of the “YES Project” took place in the TimeOut Hotel in Sandanski hosting great artists from 9 countries: Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Latvia, Romania, Slovakia, Spain and Turkey . After the presentation of the Team who will support the musicians in this ten days project full of workshops and in preparation for the BYF, they received the welcome from our long-term EVS volunteers Joana and Camilla, from Spain and Italy, that shows them a video of their impressions about Bulgaria and experiences of these five month here. The days continued with the presentation group by group and respectively country and games to break the ice  and to start to create a team work. All the participants of the “YES project” received a t-shirt and the folders and informational material about the project and the outh pass. After a full day of activities in the evening the participants  from Italy, Greece and Macedonia prepared the International Evening, showing videos of traditional music and bringing some typical products from their country: from the chocolate of Piemonte in Italy, till the delicious olives and feta of the guys from Greece passing from the Macedonia special food that contributes to the realization of an unforgettable evening. Before to go to sleep, of course, an army of guitarists and singers gave the goodnight to each other playing songs and singing together.
